1-Battle of Plassey -1757 - Won with bribery pure and simple
gave English East India Company control over an area bigger than england wales scotland and ireland
The battle was part of Seven Years War


2-Battle of Buxar - 1764 -- Won by superior coordination of infantry artillery . Native forces had still not bridged the gap by employing european instructors which they did with success between 1770 and 1850


3-Battle of Assaye -1803 - won by superior generalship of General Wellesley later Duke of Wellington.Battle of Assaye in 1803 won by General Viscount Gerard Lake with superior generalship




4-Ferozshah and Mudki -1845  won by bribery and treachery of Lal Singh and Tej Singh where Sikh army was in position to completely destroy main army of English East India Company with the British Viceroy-This fact was acknowledged by eminent British historian Colonel Malleson in his book Decisive Battles of India




5-Chillianwallah-1849-English East India Company lost despite parity in numbers and superiority in artillery because Sikhs had bridged the gap with European way of warfare by using European and American instructors from more than 9 nationalities.ARTILLERY being trained by Americans also.


6- 1857-58 -The British had to deploy the biggest army in their history outside britain till that date.They won because they successfully reinforced India by sea and unlike US war of independence there was no French navy to interdict them
